Generative AI Policy

The journal Economics, Entrepreneurship, Management recognises the value of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential to assist in the preparation, editing, and improvement of content on its website.
At the same time, the journal acknowledges that generative AI models (LLMs) cannot replace human creativity, critical thinking, or academic professionalism.
This policy has been created to help authors, reviewers, and editors make ethical decisions regarding the use of such technologies.

For Authors Submitting Materials

Assistive use of AI

AI tools that are used solely to enhance or improve work created by humans (for example, improving language, grammar, or structure) are considered assistive.
Disclosure of their use by authors or reviewers is not mandatory, but authors are required to ensure that the submitted material meets high academic standards.

Generative use of AI

If AI tools are used to generate content (text, images, tables, data, etc.), their use must be openly declared at the time of submission or prior to publication. Authors should provide the following information: which tool was used, for what purpose, and to what extent. Authors must ensure the accuracy, validity, relevance, and originality of all content and citations created or verified with the help of AI.

Authors should pay attention to the following risks:

  • the possibility of plagiarism through the reproduction of text from other sources;
  • the possibility of data or fact fabrication, including inaccurate or non-existent references.

If it is found that generative AI has been used improperly or without disclosure, the Editorial Board reserves the right to reject the manuscript or suspend the review process.

Authorship

AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of any material.
Authorship belongs only to individuals who have made an intellectual contribution to the conception, writing, or verification of the work.

Author responsibility

Authors bear full responsibility for:

  • the accuracy and scientific quality of the material;
  • the correctness of data, facts, and conclusions;
  • the ethical use of assistive and generative AI tools.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to request clarification regarding the use of AI in submitted materials.

Editorial use of AI

The Editorial Board may use AI tools solely for auxiliary purposes, such as:

- detection of plagiarism or textual overlap;

- linguistic analysis or language verification;

- bibliographic or citation data analysis.

Automated systems do not make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts — this remains the exclusive responsibility of editors and reviewers.

Compliance with international ethical standards

The journal’s policy fully complies with international ethical standards and the recommendations of leading publishers and organisations, including COPE, Elsevier, Springer Nature.

The journal adheres to the principles of transparency, academic integrity, and the responsible use of technology in scholarly communication.
